Dates to Avoid

Holidays or final exams are not the best time to plan your visit. You're always welcome to walk around campus, but little or no visit services are offered on these 2014-2015 dates:

Labor Day September 1
Veterans Day November 11
Thanksgiving November 27-28
Autumn Quarter Finals Week December 8-11*
Student Christmas Break December 11–25*
Christmas Break December 24- January 1
Martin Luther King Jr. Day January 19
Presidents Day February 16
Winter Quarter Finals Week March 16-19*
Spring Break March 20-29*
Memorial Day May 25
Spring Quarter Finals Week June 8-12*
Independence Day July 4

*Note: During the first week of each quarter, finals week of each quarter, Christmas break, and Spring break, the only opportunities for visitors are a regular campus tour and a meeting with an Admissions Counselor. Also, during the summer, we only offer tours and admissions counselor appointments, in addition to our scheduled Summer Visit Days. During an all campus closure (for example, the week between Christmas and New Years or Presidents Day), no tours or Admissions Counselor appointments will be available.

Tips to help you plan your visit to campus

  • Arrangements for class visits, and special appointments must be made two weeks in advance.
  • Class visits are available with a two-class maximum.
  • Transportation is available only for overnight Preview Events with two weeks notice.  Shuttles from the airport and train station are complementary for prospective students attending the event; each additional guest may request ride the shuttle for $20 each way.

My World

Meet Meredith Teague
Meet Chrissy Hughes. This sophomore has been to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships four times, and won the Junior Grand Prix twice.

After you learn about Chrissy, go ahead and meet other interesting SPU students at the My World Gallery.
