Campus Ministries

Relinquish is a prayer ministry that draws on the gift of prayer as a means of connecting SPU’s student body, and to act as a resource for the creation and facilitation of prayer groups and prayer-related events on campus. Relinquish serves as an umbrella ministry that resources students who want to start a prayer group, be part of a prayer group, or put on a prayer-related event but are not sure the best way to do so. Relinquish seeks to help students explore different types of Christian prayer through events and retreats throughout the year.  Additionally, Relinquish also offers education on the discipline of prayer through various forums or lectures.

Relinquish prayer gatherings:

Event name

Each Monday evening from 7-9pm, the Relinquish prayer ministry invites you to join them for a prayer and worship gathering called Grow. The service takes place in the lounge of Weter Hall. Drop in for any amount of time, and join with other students who are passionate about experiencing the presence of God in open worship and intercessory prayer (Unless otherwise noted, Grow will begin the first full week of classes each academic quarter, and will run until the last week of classes. We will not meet during breaks, holidays, or finals week).

Vigil is a annual prayer service that seeks to unite the SPU community in an extended period of prayer.  Prayer and worship proclaim God's greatness and radical love, but also move God's heart and usher in restoration to the brokenness of our community, nation, and world. This is a great opportunity to be vigilant in praying for God's kingdom to come and will to be done.
