Emily Scott

I've spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest and love all things outdoors. I'm passionate about music, design, painting, and working with people. As an artist, I seek to explore how artistic expression can change the way we view others and ourselves, and to understand the importance of vulnerability in that process.

UGM Youth at Risk Information Graphic

Poster design project for Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. Work included extensive research about youth living in Seattle and what causes them to be at risk. This information was then applied to informative graphics to communicate the need for further change in the city of Seattle.

Amanda and Jared

Wedding invitations created for a couple getting married In July 2014. The flowers on the invitations were illustrated and painted by hand and later combined digitally with type. The colors and overall theme were chosen by the couple prior to completion and were implemented into every aspect of the wedding invitation package.

We Make Seattle

Part of a collaborative project with Constellation & Co and a fellow SPU student during an internship. We Make Seattle will be a short film showcasing Seattle as a city for entrepreneurs and creators alike. My contribution included the icon design, color choices for ink, and aid in the overall letterpress printing process for both the coasters and the poster. Logo Credit: Jordan Butcher.
