Students in Tiffany Loop on a sunny spring day

Advice to parents: Summer is coming!

Spring is a busy time for students. They are finishing up the year — and preparing to head into summer to begin summer jobs, do mission work, take classes, study abroad, prepare for graduate school, or begin their careers. We asked parents of current and past SPU students for their advice for summer. Here’s what they had to say.

Student spotlight: Kevin Johnson

Even in baby pictures, senior Kevin Johnson grips a basketball. But during his senior year of high school, he turned down two offers to play college ball, in order to focus on studies. He chose Seattle Pacific, where he felt encouraged in his faith and academics, and never had to leave sports behind.
