New Student Advising for
    Autumn 2012 Admits

Dominique Garcia - JuniorI attended an NSA event in Orange County, California. It was my first taste of SPU. The academic counselors are really funny and really relaxed, and they made me even more excited about coming to SPU. They helped me figure out which classes you need to take.

And there was a financial workshop, which was more for my mom, so that she got to realize that scholarships and aid were out there. That made everything seem a lot more do-able.

I met some of the people who I hang out with in Seattle now. My freshman year and my sophomore year roommates were both there at the same time, but we hadn't met each other yet. It was a good social experience.

Ruth Adams - University RegistrarThis program is designed to help you get a head start on a successful academic experience at SPU.

Your first step is to sign up for one of the NSA events — they're held on-campus and in Oregon, California, and Colorado. After that, you'll receive a confirmation email that confirms your event sign-up and outlines the items you need to complete prior to your event.
