Holiday Hours - Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the SPU library hours are reduced to 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012.

Library Firsts: first book added to the library collection

The first volume added to the Seattle Pacific library was American Literature by Julian W. Abernethy. It was published in 1902 by the Charles E. Merrill Company of New York. The book itself is no longer circulating, but it is on display in the University Archives on the lower level of the Library.

Christmas Closure

The Library takes part in the universitywide Christmas Closure from December 24, 2011 - January 2, 2012. While the website remains accessible, no other services are available during this time. Library hours on January 3 will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The library staff wishes you a Merry Christmas.
