  • Did You Know?

    The Library offers an array of recent best-selling fiction. Our Popular Fiction Collection, available on display in the Reading Room and main floor lobby, contains approximately 80 titles available for checkout to SPU patrons. Visitors may browse through these books when in the library.

  • Library Adds More Full-Text Journal Access

    The Library has added two new JSTOR Collections: Arts & Sciences IV Collection and Arts & Sciences V Collection. Together these two collections increase the libraries full-text access by almost 375 titles.

  • Library Firsts: first book added to the library collection

    The first volume added to the Seattle Pacific library was American Literature by Julian W. Abernethy. It was published in 1902 by the Charles E. Merrill Company of New York. The book itself is no longer circulating, but it is on display in the University Archives on the lower level of the Library.

  • Christmas Closure

    The Library takes part in the universitywide Christmas Closure from December 24, 2011 - January 2, 2012. While the website remains accessible, no other services are available during this time. Library hours on January 3 will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The library staff wishes you a Merry Christmas.
