Search Classic Catalog

We recommend using the new library catalog, SPU WorldCat because it has excellent keyword and subject searching capabilities. However, there are a few situations where the classic catalog might be preferred.

Since the classic catalog is restricted to items held within the SPU collection only, search it when you want to see only items available right away. Also, using the classic catalog can be the fastest way to search for items when you know the exact title. 

Finally, if you want to restrict your searching to a specific library collection or location, you must search in the classic catalog. Select the Keyword search and limit by location. For example:

• Emmanuel Room for the Wesleyan, Wesleyan Holiness, and Free Methodist Collection
• The Graduate/Faculty Study Room for the Work and Faith Collection
• Test File to search our restricted collection of Mental Tests and Measures
