- ATLA Religion Database & ATLA Serials - This database, produced by the American Theological Library Association, indexes journals and essay collections in religion, with links to full text. Its coverage extends from 1949 to the present, with some retrospective indexing underway.(SPU Only)
- Index Theologicus (lxTheo) - indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus Festschriften and congress publications. Its coverage extends from 1970 to the present.

- Academic Search Premier - This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for more than 4,600 journals, including nearly 3,900 peer-reviewed titles. Its coverage ranges from 1984 to the present, with some back files (to 1975) and searchable cited references available.(SPU Only)
- Augustinus Literatur Portal - indexes Augustine studies, using the entries of the Augustinus-Lexikon as subject headings.
- Bibliographia Thomistica - This new search engine shares some content with the printed yearbook Thomistica: A New Yearbook of Thomistic Bibliography (which replaces Rassegna di Letteratura Tomistica). While all users have access to the most common types of searches, collaborators and subscribers may log in as advanced users, with access to additional types of searches.
- BIDP (Bibliographical Information Database in Patristics) - Although patristic literature remains its major preoccupation, the BIDP touches on all disciplines studying patristic Christianity. This database is most effectively searched in French.
- Calvinism Resources Database - provides bibliographic information for articles, essays, and lectures produced from the 16th century to the present that deal with John Calvin and 16th-century Calvinism.
- Digital Karl Barth Library - features online editions of the Church Dogmatics plus 13 additional titles by Barth in English translation; Die Kirchliche Dogmatik; the first 45 volumes of the standard Gesamtausgabe; and seven additional works in the original German that have not yet appeared in the Gesamtausgabe.
- Dissertation Abstracts - covers the full range of academic subjects found in dissertations, with coverage extending from 1861 to the present.(SPU Only)
- Google Scholar - This search engine searches for scholarly research across many disciplines and sources. By starting your Google search from the SPU pages, the results will link to SPU-owned full-text.
- JSTOR - offers digitized versions of core scholarly journals in many disciplines.(SPU Only)
- Literature by and about Karl Barth - offers an online, searchable bibliography of literature by and about the Swiss-German theologian Karl Barth (1886-1968). It contains information about both primary and secondary literature. At present, the database contains most publications from 1995 onward and is kept up to date. Bibliographic references to books and dissertations published prior to 1995 are available in the database, those of articles and reviews are being added gradually.
- Philosopher's Index - indexes journals and essay collections in philosophy and related fields, with some full text available online. Its coverage extends from 1940 to the present.(SPU Only)
- RAMBI: The Index of Articles on Jewish Studies - provides a selective bibliography of articles in the various fields of Jewish studies and in the study of Eretz Israel. Material listed in RAMBI is compiled from thousands of periodicals and from collections of articles in the Jewish National and University Library. Coverage extends from 1966 to the present.
- Religion & Philosophy Collection - offers 300-plus full-text journals, covering world religions, denominations, biblical studies, history of philosophy & religion, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, and moral philosophy.(SPU Only)
- Research in Ministry - Research in Ministry is a free database from the American Theological Library Association that indexes projects and theses from the Assoication of Theological Schools accredited schools.
- Research Library Complete - covers a broad range of topics, with coverage extending from 1971 to the present.(SPU Only)
- Education Full Text - covers topics in education and includes research articles, book reviews, and computer software reviews, with coverage extending from October 1983 to the present.(SPU Only)
- ERIC via EBSCOHost - This education-resource database includes some full-text documents and the ERIC thesaurus, and it allows users to search PsycInfo simultaneously, limit results to SPU holdings, and link to ILL services.(SPU Only)
- PsycINFO - This comprehensive research-based psychology database is produced by the American Psychological Association and indexes journal articles, books, chapters, and dissertations from 1887 to the present. It focuses on peer-reviewed literature in behavior science and mental health.(SPU Only)
- Sociological Abstracts - covers anthropology, criminology, crisis intervention, demography, social psychology, urban studies, violence, and other sociological and social work topics. Its coverage extends from 1963 to the present.(SPU Only)
