2002 Education Tax Benefit Info Coming Soon!
The 1098-Ttt (Tuition Payments Statement) tax form for education tax benefits will be mailed to you very soon! Included with this tax form is a letter briefly explaining the Hope Scholarship and Lifetime Learning Credit, and containing information regarding your student account. You or your parents may need this information for your taxes this year. This tax form will be mailed to your permanent address, per IRS regulations. This is only being sent to students. If someone else needs this information, please be sure to forward it on to them. SPU cannot act as a tax advisor or give you any information other than that which is being sent. Gymnastics Home Meet
Come watch Gymnastics this Thursday, February 6 at 7:00 pm as the University of Washington Huskies make a visit to SPU. SPU students receive complimentary tickets with ID. Complimentary tickets available at ticket window only-no advance pick-up. Students must show SPU student ID.

2002-2003 Liberty Mutual Scholarship
Liberty Mutual is offering a total of seventeen $5,000 scholarships to college juniors and seniors for the 2002-2003 academic year. Students must be legal/permanent residents of California, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Wisconsin. Students must have a 3.4 or higher GPA and be majoring in a business related field. Applications are available in the student financial services office or www.fihe.org, and are due by March 15.

Free Exercise/Fitness Services
Senior exercise science majors are available (on a limited basis) to provide a wide range of fitness and exercise services to the SPU community. Available services range from full fitness evaluations, exercise prescriptions, or personal training to the simple assessment of a single fitness component or instruction on how to use a specific piece of exercise equipment. Urban Plunge Applications Available Today!
Urban Plunge will be held this Spring Break on March 20-24. It is a four day simulated learning experience to see how the homeless system works in Seattle, see how our society views the homeless, and put actual names and faces to homelessness. Applications are now available and are due beginning 8:00 am on February 11 and we will stop accepting them at 5:00 pm on February 12. Pick one up on the 2nd floor of the SUB outside of the Office of Campus Ministries.
