Quote of the Week:   "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go." --Dr. Seuss CONGRATS Class of 2005!!

Swing and Rag Concert in Upper Gwinn
Come hear Nathan Bello from Portland Oregon. In 2001, at the age of 14, he was the winner of a Russian-American Music Association Festival for Young Piano Virtuosos, with a prize that included a performance in Carnegie Hall. A freshman, he has received a full scholarship and is attending Boston University with a triple major in Composition, Jazz, and Classical music in their honors program. Nathan is a rare musician who can both read and play piano roll music, making him a musical historian. The concert is free concert on June 7 at 6:00 p.m. in Upper Gwinn. The Fremont Rotary Club invites you to join them to hear Nathan perform Seattle Swing and Seattle Rag music. For more information please Carol Quinlan at (206)-281-2108.

Goodbye Jen and Brian!!
You are invited to come celebrate and bid a fond farewell to Dr. Jen Hutchings, Director of the Student Counseling Center and Brian Cole, Coordinator of Student Programs. Jen will be remembered as the founding director of the SCC in 2002. Brian joined SPU a year later in the Office of Student Programs. They will be moving closer to family in Michigan with their young daughter Gracie (and a menagerie of pets). We will show our appreciation at an informal drop-in celebration down at the canal on June 10 between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. And...Gracie will be in attendance!
