Youth for Christ Internship and Scholarship
Youth for Christ sponsors internships for college sophomores, juniors and seniors. These internships will allow young men and women with a passion for youth ministry to experience "on the job" training through the partnership of YFC and local churches. YFC will give a $3,000 scholarship and a $2,000 stipend to applicants that are chosen. Applications and more information about YFC are available on the web at www.yfcseattle.com.

StraightForwardMedia.com Scholarships
StraightforwardMedia.com is offering three scholarships for students majoring in business, a medical related field, and communications. **Each discipline is a separate scholarship. All you have to do is be majoring in one of those three disciplines and visit their website to apply. Applications must be sent in by June 30th. Collegiate Women of Color Leadership Development Institute
The goal of this project is to identify collegiate women of color with leadership aptitude and provide them with opportunities to test their leadership skills. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA at the end of their junior year, be a US citizen and be a woman of color. Application deadline is May 29th and applications can be found in the SFS office. SUB Manager Applications Available!
Applications are now available for 2006-07 SUB Manager. This compensated position combines responsibilities for managing UNI-Com and the Pacific Collegium as well as coordinating campus information. Applications are available at the UNI-Com front desk and are due May 12.

Summer Employment
Summer 2006 Work-study Students who will not attending in the summer or will be taking less than 6 undergraduate or 3 graduate credits may be eligible to work up to 40 hours a week in the Washington State Work-Study program. To be considered for the program you need to have a valid 2006-2007 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file at SPU and plan to return to SPU in Autumn Quarter. The State Work-Study program provides a variety of well-paying jobs, many within your major or career interest. If you are interested in Summer State Work-study visit Student Financial Services or contact the Office of Student Employment at ose@spu.edu. Respect Your Body Week 2006, THIS WEEK, May 8-13
This week is for expression, action, and education regarding food and body issues. The theme is "Miserably Perfect--At What Cost?" it integrates the theme of perfectionism into the talks, panel discussions, and events. Come kick-off the week at the Body Fair Monday May 8th from 1-4pm, Science Building. There will be massage, food, rock wall to climb and more. Every event during the week is free! Graduates: Required Exit Counseling Sessions Begin This Week!
Please plan to attend one of the following exit counseling sessions which are a requirement of your loan(s). We have scheduled several sessions including a Saturday session in hopes that all graduates will be able to attend one of the sessions. If your school or work schedules prevent you from attending you may contact Student Financial Services to arrange for an individual session. Each session will last approximately 1Ĺ hours and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have about repaying your loan(s). All Loan Exit Sessions will be held in the Library Seminar Room.
