Summer Session Fast Facts!

Undergraduate Admissions: The admissions office coordinates the following services for prospective students and their families: campus tours, Summer Visit program, transcript evaluations, transfer requirements and advising. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Thursday 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 800.366.3344.
Banking: A U.S. Bank with a cash machine is located on West Bertona, across from the Student Union Building (SUB). Bank hours: Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Phone: 206/217-0019. There is also a Bank of America cash machine in the main entrance of Weter Hall.
Bookstore: The SPU Bookstore carries textbooks for your courses, school supplies, general reading books, and SPU clothing and gifts. This summer the SPU Bookstore is open Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and will be closed on weekends. The Bookstore is located on campus across from the Student Union Building. You can now order your textbooks online to be shipped to your home or for in store pick-up. Just to go the web site and click on the textbook tab.
Campus Information/UNICOM: Find friendly assistance in the Student Union Building or via phone, 206-281-2000, where student workers offer information (including campus phone numbers), bus and ferry schedules, and change for vending and laundry machines, and any other campus information you may need. Summer hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. On campus, dial 0.
Campus Security: Located at 601 West Emerson — across the street from Emerson Hall and the Falcon Apartments — the Office of Safety and Security is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Security staff members are trained in CPR and first aid; they respond to all campus emergencies and minor injuries. After dark, security officers are available to escort people from buildings to resident halls or cars. Phone: 206-281-2922; on campus, dial 2922.
Computer Labs: Computers are available for student use in Weter Hall's lounge. Students may also access computers in the Library. (See Library hours below.)
Conference Services: Conference guests are a welcomed addition to SPU. For information, contact the Conference Services office at 206-281-2187.
Copying and Mailing Services: The Mailing and Copying Center is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and can handle most of your copying and mailing needs right here on campus. If you have special needs or considerations, contact Mailing Services at 206-281-2077 or the Copy Center at 206-281-2622.
Dining Options: Looking for lunch, a light snack or a double latte? You'll find it at our dining locations across campus. Corner Place Market offers a selection of meal choices. Regular summer hours: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. At SUBWAY, you'll find sub sandwiches, of course, and a variety of other snacks. Summer hours: Monday-Friday 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Visit Pura Vidain Weter Lounge, which features fair-trade coffee. Summer hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-10 a.m.
Student Financial Services: Student Financial Services can respond to your questions about summer financial aid, student accounts, tuition, scholarships and student employment. Located in Demaray Hall 10, office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For questions contact Student Financial Services at 206-281-2061 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Local Neighborhoods: SPU sits at the bottom of Queen Anne Hill, one of Seattle's most historic and picturesque neighborhoods. This makes for a quick, but vigorous walk up to many quaint shops, cafes and restaurants on the Hill. The Fremont neighborhood, coined by residents as the Center of the Universe, is also a short walk from SPU. There you'll find a variety of restaurants featuring international cuisine and no shortage of coffee shops.
Parking: Parking is free. Contact the Safety and Security office at 206-281-2922 for more information.
Public Transportation: There are many ways to get to SPU. Taking the bus is one hassle-free option. Find out schedule and rider information via the Web or by calling 206-624-PASS.
Special Needs: The University provides academic program support and accommodations for students with learning, physical, medical, and psychological disabilities. A student who wishes to receive accommodations should contact Disability Support Services at 206-281-2272 and provide current disability documentation.
Student Academic Services (Registration): This department will help you register in person or via the Web (available for most classes), provide transcripts, verify enrollment for insurance or loan purposes, assist with your veteran educational benefits, and answer questions about registration policies and procedures. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Thursday: 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Student Union Building (SUB): Serving as a lounge and study area, the SUB is a popular place at Seattle Pacific. Summer hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
