You can submit your $200 advance payment online or by a paper check.*

Here’s how to submit your Advance Payment:

Paying Online

Log in to SPU's Banner Information System. You will be directed to a login screen and will be prompted to enter your SPU username and password.

To obtain your SPU username and password, visit

Paying by E-Check or Credit Card
  • Once in Banner, choose "Student Menu."
  • Next choose "New Student Menu."
  • Finally, choose "Advance Tuition Payment."

The link has a secure connection and is available 24 hours a day.

You can pay with an e-check (with a no-fee service) or by credit card (with a 2.75 percent transaction fee). Mastercard, American Express, Visa, and Discover Card are accepted.

Paying With a Paper Check

SPU cannot accept credit or debit card payments over the phone or in person. If you would prefer to pay by paper check: 

  • Make a $200 check payable to “Seattle Pacific University.”
  • Write your ID number on the check’s memo line.
  • Mail your deposit to Office of Undergraduate Admissions:

Next Steps
  1.  While in Banner

    After you’ve made your advanced payment, you’re probably logged into Banner (SPU’s online location to check your grades and transcripts, and to enroll in classes). At that time, you can update your emergency contacts, which are found under the Personal menu.

  2. Set Up and Monitor Your SPU Email Account

    After you have your computer credential, log in at Check it often for updates!

  3. Sign up for New Student Advising

    Complete the tutorials and assignments once they are available in April. 

    At this required event, you’ll register for classes, and get the information you need for the next step on your SPU journey. We have specific events on-campus. Watch your mailbox and SPU email account for more information.

  4. Apply for Financial Aid by Completing and Submitting the FAFSA

    Fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. February 1 is the priority deadline. Have the results sent to Seattle Pacific University (SPU’s school code for FAFSA is 003788).

  5. Sign Up for Housing by June 1

    The housing application will be available in April.  Find more information on housing requirements, how to apply, and application deadlines at

  6. Sign Up for Orientation

    Right before classes begin, you will take part in a required event called Orientation. Parents and guests are invited to attend the first two days. Watch your mail and SPU email for more information in the late spring.

  7. Send in Your Official Academic Transcripts by August 1

    High school students: We need your final transcript with a posted graduation date by August 1. (Your financial aid will be affected if we don’t have this.) Transfer students: Please submit your college transcripts.

  8. Fill Out and Return a Medical History Form and Immunization Record

    You will need to send us this information by September 1. Please download the forms on the Health Center website and mail or fax to:
