    What to Bring

Whether you’re already starting to pack — or just beginning to think about what you’ll take to college — here’s what to bring for move-in day.

  • Church Fair

    2016 Church Fair

Starting college often means looking for a new church. Where do you start? Every fall, University Ministries hosts a “Church Fair” to help you in this process. During the first week of classes we invite pastors from over 50 local churches to campus. Plan to drop by this event to meet these local leaders who want to nurture your spiritual growth while at SPU.

  • Study Abroad

    When Will YOU Study Abroad?

Earn credits towards your degree when you spend a quarter, a semester, or even a full year in abroad! Your stay in Italy, France, South Africa, Guatemala, the Philippines, China, or many other locations can help you fulfill SPU’s foreign language requirement, add a minor, or even graduate early. Planning ahead is key, so come talk to us early!

You may think working during college will hurt your GPA, but studies show students who work a part-time job perform better academically. SPU is close to the heart of the city, so you can choose from a wide variety of on- and off-campus jobs. Check out the Office of Student Employment’s site for more information about the types of employment available, or email ose@spu.edu with questions.
