Scholarships

Keep in mind that 95 percent of our undergraduates receive merit-based scholarships or financial aid. And nearly everyone starts by filling out the FAFSA form.

For incoming first-year students

Scholarships are available for incoming freshmen planning to pursue an engineering major. More information is provided here.

For continuing engineering students

Available to current SPU students majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or General Engineering. Applications are typically due each year in late February or early March.

  • Sophomore Engineering Scholarship. Engineering students who will be taking circuits or statics next year may apply for this scholarship.

  • Junior Engineering Scholarship. Engineering students who will be taking a junior design course next year (EE 3730 or EGR 3810) may apply for this scholarship.

  • Bauman Scholar Engineering Excellence Scholarship. For Electrical Engineering students only. Those who will be taking EE senior design next year may apply for this scholarship.

  • Langer Engineering and Missions Scholarship. For engineering students interested in missions. All levels of students are eligible.

  • Jon Meis Engineering Scholarship. For engineering students who demonstrate dedication to Christian service and readiness and preparedness to act when called upon. All levels of students may apply.
