Bella Solano contributes to climate change research in Cambodia

Bella Solano, a senior BS Ecology major, participated in a research study assessing the impact of climate change on residents of Tonle Sap Lake in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. This study, part of Bella's Autumn 2019 study abroad experience through the School for Field Studies, documented the environmental and economic impact of climate change on villagers' livelihoods. Bella and her research partner documented the increased vulnerability villagers faced due to weather extremes and declining fish populations. More information about Bella's research is available in a recent "Student Research Spotlight" article on the School for Field Studies website.
