Education: BS, Seattle Pacific University, 2003. At SPU since 2019.
Gina Howe was employed as an electrical engineer for 15 years, the majority of which at Boeing and Sound Transit. She specialized in power systems and has experience in managing complex projects in a range of applications from machine tools to underground train stations. In 2008 she earned a Professional Engineer License in Power Systems from the State of Washington.
The transition to teaching at SPU began unexpectedly by becoming an adjunct professor for “just one class”. Professor Howe enjoys teaching Circuits 1 and co-teaching Junior Design. She is also looking forward to introducing Power Systems to students. Additionally, she is studying to complete a Master’s of Electrical and Computer Engineering degree at Purdue University, to improve her efficacy as an instructor.
