ENG 3301
Advanced Expository Writing

Peter Moe

TuTh 12:50-2:50 p.m.

This course studies nonfiction writing written for a general audience.  We will be reading the latest edition of Best American Essays, as well as select readings on craft.  You'll write two assignments during the course, the first a nonfiction essay, using our readings as a model for your own project, and the second, an analysis of that essay, explaining how it imitates, appropriates, or resists techniques we've seen demonstrated in the Best American Essays collection.
