TuTh 9:00-11:00 a.m.
This course will consider how struggles of immigration--such as "conditional" citizenship in the States--alongside of complex intersections of identity are shown in African lit and films. We will be watching films from Algeria, Morocco, and Egypt and reading stories from African women authors, such as Dangarembga, Adichie, and Lailami.
