ENG 3150

The Sentence

Peter Wayne Moe

MWF 12:00-12:50pm

This course asks "How do you write a sentence?"  To answer the question, we'll read a wide range of writers writing about sentences: Stanley Fish, Gloria Anzaldua, James Baldwin, Virginia Tufte, Verlyn Klinkenborg, Min-Zhan Lu, and many others.  Each week, students will gather sentences into a commonplace book, and at the end of the quarter, use our course readings to make sense of the sentences they've collected.
