Winter Quarter Mainstage: The Illusion

About the Play

A lonely father, nearing the end of his life, goes in search of his long-lost son. A magician offers glimpses of the son in moments of success and failure. The father can reach the son … but will he make the sacrificial investment required? A lyrical and theatrical rumination by Tony Kushner (adapted from Pierre Corneille’s play) on performance, family, and love.
