MS-ISM 30th Anniversary Celebration

The Master of Science in Information Systems Management degree program at SPU is marking its 30th anniversary during Homecoming weekend with a special event on Friday, February 7, from 1:45 to 3:45 p.m.

ISM alumni and their guests are invited to join in the festivities to reconnect with one another and with current and former ISM faculty. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served, and you will be introduced to our business school dean, Dr. Joseph Williams, who joined us last year from Microsoft. We look forward to honoring a distinguished alumnus from each decade of the ISM program. Please consider joining us at this milestone event. RSVP.

Speaking of ISM alumni, here's one brief story: Dr. Ryan LaBrie, associate professor of ISM, completed the MS-ISM degree at SPU while working at Microsoft. He then did some guest lecturing in the program here on campus and found that he loved teaching enough to leave a successful career at Microsoft. So he completed a doctorate in Information Systems and came back to join the faculty. He has now been teaching in the program for more than 10 years.
