Faithful Business Symposium

In October the Center for Integrity in Business convened a two-day symposium for business and academic leaders to consider ways to calibrate “faithful business.” The event attracted participants from across the U.S., and even as far away as London.

This initiative is a significant next step in CIB’s ongoing work to articulate a Christian vision for business, and builds on the formation of benefit corporations, designed to be profitable businesses that are responsible to their interests and stakeholders while measured against a “triple bottom line” of people, profit, and planet. As benefit corporations gain popularity, opportunities arise to serve Christian leaders who want to guide their companies through a certification process. This shared work could also open important doors for research and case studies, as well as for collaboration among faculty, students, and practitioners. It could help us develop tools and resources to serve business more broadly.
