It’s not too late to reserve a seat at our SBGE Alumni Breakfast on Saturday, February 7. This is an exciting year with the incorporation of Political Science and Global Development Studies. Our distinguished panel of alumni from the fields of economics, business, political science, and accounting will be discussing strategic opportunities of this alliance. The panel includes:
- Cedric Davis ’08 / National Partnerships – Systems Improvement, Casey Family Programs
- Kelsey Diller ’08 / Founder and Designated Broker, City Closers
- Craig A. Nolte ’80 / Regional Manager, Community Development, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco
- Kristen (Eddings) Tetteh ’06 / Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships, the Washington Global Health Alliance
We are also initiating our own SBGE annual alumni awards — one for a young alum and one for an alum who has been at it a bit longer. We are pleased to announce that our Alumnus of the Year is Jeff Wilcox '82 and our Young Alumnus of the Year is Bryan Papé '07. Our venue at First Free Methodist Church is lovely. We hope you will join us.
Your breakfast registration fee supports the Margaret Sampson Edgell Memorial Endowment. This funds the Margaret Edgell Prize — an annual award for a video report of a business that exemplifies the integration of Christian faith and business. We are very close to getting that fund to the disbursement point. You will have an opportunity to hear more about that at the breakfast and to contribute to that or other needs.
We will also take a few minutes at the breakfast to honor the teaching legacy of one of our beloved professors, Dr. Herb Kierulff, who plans to retire this June. Photos here are of Herb in 1980 and recently.
After breakfast, you might like to take a brief tour of the restored Alexander Hall. For fun (and weather permitting), SBGE professors who are attending the breakfast will be available for a photo with you in front of Alexander.
And if you are an ISM alum, remember the anniversary celebration at 1:45 the same day.
