Burton and Ralene Walls Distinguished Speaker Series
Thursday, March 7, 2019, 12 p.m.–1:30 p.m.
Upper Gwinn Commons
Speaker: Roei Ganzarski, CEO, magniX
This year the annual Burton and Ralene Walls Distinguished Speaker Series Luncheon features Roei Ganzarski on Thursday, March 7. This is our 18th year of introducing outstanding business leaders to our students.
Roei leads magniX, an electric propulsion technology company that is looking to change the way the world flies. They’re developing electric motors to power airplanes cleanly and more efficiently, in a way that benefits the environment and lowers costs.
Before magniX, Roei was CEO of software provider BoldIQ. He was also chief customer officer for Boeing’s Flight Services division, and before that was in private investment banking, corporate finance, advertising, and the military.
Roei is a graduate of Wharton’s Advanced Management program, and earned an MBA from the University of Washington and a BA in economics from the University of Haifa.
Sponsorship provided by the Burton and Ralene Walls Distinguished Speaker Series Endowment
This endowment was established with Seattle Pacific University in 2013 to further the entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of SPU students. Burton is an alumnus of SPU with a major in business. His uncle, Paul Walls, served SPU as a member of the Board of Trustees for 31 years. His father, F. Wesley Walls, also served SPU with distinction for 38 years in various capacities, including founding director of the School of Business. Burton and Ralene are longtime supporters of SPU.
