Certificate in Worship Studies

SPU community members engage in worship

Overview

The Certificate in Worship Studies is a seven-month program open to all adult learners. The program will consist of two, seven month courses in worship and the arts (with both in person and online components) as well as a weekend intensive course held in-person on February 24-25, 2023. As you pursue the CWS, you will cultivate your creative gifts to serve in worship leadership including songwriting, music proficiency, and visual arts. You will learn within a cohort of diverse peers where you can collaborate on your creative projects. The program will equip you with a biblical, historical, and theological foundation for Christian worship.

The second cohort for this program will begin in late Fall 2022.

Stephen Newby

If the body of Christ truly wants this present generation to flourish and lift up the cross of Jesus Christ, It must carefully examine its ways of engaging the culture, ways of living out its worship unto God, and making disciples of Jesus Christ — all these entities are forms of worship as unto our Lord.
