Education: BA, Ohio Wesleyan University, 2011; MS, Colorado State University, 2019. At SPU since 2019.
Dani was born and raised in sunny Monrovia, California and left for new adventures to attend Ohio Wesleyan University near Columbus, Ohio. In Ohio, Dani fell in love with the beauty of the seasons and buckeye candies. At Ohio Wesleyan University, Dani studied psychology and became involved in leading service learning experiences and alternative break trips for college students, something that’s taken her all across the U.S. Her love for college students and their development helped Dani transition to working year-round in higher education in 2015 in the Student Accounts Office at her alma mater.
In 2017, Dani decided to leave the great state of Ohio to head back to the West and landed near the beautiful mountains of Colorado to pursue a graduate degree in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University. While there, Dani discovered her passion for teaching students and empowering them to learn, grow, and do great things in residence life. Dani served as an assistant residence director while in Colorado, but alas, kept hearing the beckoning call of the West and could not resist. Dani is very excited to call Seattle home now and to carry on her passion for developing students at Seattle Pacific University.
Outside of work, you’ll find Dani spending time with her husband, Ben, friends, and family. She likes to spend time outside, travel, and eat delicious food.
