DeHeavalyn grew up in Tacoma, Washington. She earned a BA in psychology from Seattle Pacific University. During her time at SPU she developed her passions for the ministry of reconciliation and social justice. After graduating from SPU, DeHeavalyn worked in the SPU Admissions office for three years, and then moved to Boston where she earned her master’s of science in family therapy from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
DeHeavalyn is excited to return to a community that continually seeks to reflect all of the diversity that is included within the kingdom of God. She loves being a support to students, and seeks to develop a community that is inclusive, grace-filled, and intentional about supporting the diverse needs of our ever-changing student body.
DeHeavalyn can often be found enjoying the company of family and friends, reading, singing, dancing, and exploring the delicious food options in the area.
