This year's Perkins lecture series — Faith, Race, and Evangelicalism — included a visit from center co-founder Dr. John Perkins, along with Dr. Michael Emerson, provost of North Park University in Illinois.
Held on April 24, 2018, this chapel included a dialogue between Dr. Perkins and Dr. Emerson, and was facilitated by JPC Director Tali Hairston. In an afternoon forum, Dr. Emerson presented on the matter of faith, race, and evangelicalism, with response by Professor of Sociology Jennifer McKinney, Chaplain and Associate Professor of Old Testament Bo Lim, and Hairston.
