Closed or Restricted Buildings

The following facility restrictions are currently in place due to limited ventilation. Face coverings continue to be required in all of the reduced occupancy locations listed below

  1. Beegle – Reduced occupancy
    1. Beegle Theater woodshop, paint room, costume storage and shop, kitchen, dressing rooms — Limited occupancy per Facilities Department guidance to department chair and faculty August 2021. No non-theatre department use.
    2. Beegle Mezzanine and Floor 2 single-occupancy permitted in offices. No non-theatre department use.
  2. Camp Casey — Reduced occupancy and closures
    1. Barracks and lodging spaces: Use allowed under Washington Department of Health Overnight Camp Guidance and Facilities Department guidance with reduced occupancy.
    2. Camp Casey meeting spaces/classrooms: CLOSED.
  3. Cascade House — CLOSED. 
  4. CPD House (SBAE) — Single-occupancy office use only, no meetings or gatherings, per Facilities Department guidance. 
  5. Falcon Newspaper House on 4th Avenue – CLOSED. Program relocated to Marston Hall. 
  6. FFMC Sanctuary and Wilson building — CLOSED to SPU use. 
  7. IMAGE Houses — Limited single-occupancy office use only, no gatherings or meetings. 
  8. Kingswood House — Limited single-occupancy office use only, no gatherings or meetings. 
  9. Marston Hall — Reduced occupancy and closures.
    1. CIS Conference Room BO1A: CLOSED. (Note: Facilities hopes to install HVAC equipment in 2022–23 that would enable this space to return to normal pre-COVID-19 occupancies.)
    2. CIS Offices south of elevator: Reduced occupancy and limited use per guidance from Facilities Department. (Note: Facilities hopes to install HVAC equipment in 2022–23 that would enable this space to return to normal pre-COVID-19 occupancies.)
    3. Offices on 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, and 3rd Floor South: Limited single-occupancy office use only per Facilities Department guidance to vice provost for academic affairs and deans (e.g., infrequent one-on-one meetings, if windows are open and personal HEPA filter devices are in use).  
  10. McKinley Hall — Reduced occupancy and closures
    1. Basement support spaces: Limited occupancy per Facilities Department guidance to Theatre Department chair and faculty August 2021.
    2. Sound Booth: single-occupancy.
    3. Upper Room: CLOSED.
    4. 2nd Floor offices: Limited single-occupancy office use only, no gatherings or meetings. 
  11. Moyer Hall — Reduced occupancy and closures.
    1. Moyer Residence Hall: CLOSED. 
  12. University Services — Limited single-occupancy office use only, no gatherings or meetings, limited entry for ID photos or other services, per Facilities Department guidance. 
  13. Peterson Hall — Reduced occupancy and closures.
    1. Family and Consumer Sciences offices: Occupancy, per Facilities Department guidance issued August 2021.
    2. Peterson 302 and 303: CLOSED
  14. Royal Brougham Pavilion – Reduced occupancy and closures
    1. Gym Cardio Room: CLOSED.
    2. Lower Gym: OPEN to official use by SPU Athletics Teams, and CLOSED to all other use. When used by SPU Athletic Teams, large fans provided by the Facilities Department must be on.  
  15. Senior Art Studio – CLOSED. 
  16. Student Union Building – Reduced occupancy.
    1. SUB Gazebo: Limited occupancy maximum 12 people with distancing.
    2. SUB Basement Club Space: Limited occupancy maximum two people at a time, short infrequent entry only, per Facilities guidance to the dean.
