Parents and Guests Programming
Parents and guests will be able to participate in sessions with faculty and university administrators — getting a glimpse of a day in the life of a college student and learning about campus resources for students.

Enjoy a variety of local flavors as you meet other students and families at this complimentary lunch. Students meet back up with their Orientation leaders. Make sure to wear your wristband — that’s your entrance ticket!
1:30–2:30 p.m.
New Student Convocation

Join faculty robed in traditional academic regalia for this formal ceremony of initiation and adoption into the SPU community.
2:30–4 p.m.
Final Farewells
The family and guest portion of Orientation concludes at the end of New Student Convocation- we invite families to use this time take photos, to share words of wisdom and prayers, and to finalize any last details as their students begin this next phase of their journey.
