Alumni, Parent, and Family Relations

Jennifer Hunt

Jennifer Hunt joined the Alumni, Parent, and Family Relations team in August 2016 shortly after returning to live in her beautiful home state of Washington. Originally from Gig Harbor, Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in law, societies, and justice from the University of Washington in 2007. Inspired to make a difference in the lives of others, she moved to Albany, New York, and completed three years of service with AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), a national service program designed to fight poverty in America. During that time, she discovered a passion for communicating meaningful stories and promoting opportunities that support community development and engagement.

In 2013, Jennifer moved to California and completed a master’s degree in communication management from the University of Southern California (USC) Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. As part of her coursework, she worked as a communication consultant for several clients, including the California African American Museum and the Starlight Children’s Foundation. She also completed internships with the USC Thornton School of Music and the USC Good Neighbors Campaign.

Jennifer has always loved working in higher education. When asked what attracted her to SPU, she said, “SPU’s commitment to social justice and encouraging students to use their knowledge and skills for good.” Jennifer is excited to share SPU stories and promote opportunities for alumni, parents, and families to engage with Seattle Pacific.

Jennifer married her high school sweetheart in 2012 and they now reside in Seattle with their sons Oliver and Thomas.
