Mail is an email program included with Apple's Mac OS X operating system. 

This document provides instructions for setting up Mail for use with the SPU email server on Lion 10.7 OSX.

How To:

To Add an Account

  • Open Mail
  • In the tool bar at the top of your screen, click Mail -> Preferences
  • Under Accounts select the (+) button
  • Type your Full Name, Full Email address and Password
  • Click Continue

Mail will automatically retrive the proper settings.

Common Problems:

It is important to remove any SPU account that has older settings prior to updating your email client with the latest settings; removing your email account will not delete any messages you have stored on the server.
