Outlook 2011 is the most capable client program on the Macintosh for accessing SPU e-mail. This version supports most features such as calendaring, out of office messages and contacts but you may find some limitations with these features compared to the Windows Outlook client.

System Requirements

  • Mac OS X version 10.5.8 or later
  • Processor: 1 GHz or higher (Intel only)
  • Memory: 1GB RAM or higher
  • Broadband Connection (Cable Modem or DSL, not dial-up modem)
How To:
  1. Open Outlook 2011 from Applications > Microsoft Office 2011 > Microsoft Outlook.

  2. When you open Outlook for the first time, click Outlook and Preferences

  3. In the new window, choose Exchange Account

  4. Enter your Full Name, email address with the "" portion. Make sure your settings match what you see below

  5. Verify your settings and click Add Account

  6. Outlook 2011 is now configured for use on or off campus. If ever prompted to log in, use your full email address and password.
