- Click on the box that says
"Paste data from a web transcript into this text area"
Then right-click; then select "Paste."
- Click on the button that says "Calculate SBE GPA."
A list of SBE courses will appear along with the grade point
average calculation. It can be printed by using the web
browser print button (it might look better if it is set to
"Landscape" first using "File - Page Setup".
- In order to do the calculation for another student, click
on the "Clear Buttion;" then repeat the process.
- The transcript information can also be pasted into Excel, which
will be helpful to make hypothetical changes. To do this:
- Open a new copy of Excel.
- Right-click on the text box at the upper right corner of the
GPA calculator window and choose "Select All"; then right-click
again and choose "Paste."
- Return to Excel and choose "Edit - Paste." Note: the transcript
must be pasted into cell A1, which is where the pointer will be
when Excel is first opened.
- Choose "Data - Text to Columns"; then follow the boxes
by choosing "Delimited" and then "Semicolon." (This step will
split the transcript data into different columns.
- Now perform hypothetical calculations, such as finding out what
will happen if a student retakes a class for a new grade, or
takes additional courses.
