Jan Chappuis' experience as an educator includes twelve years teaching grades 4-9; four years developing curriculum grades K-12; and five years as an implementation specialist, training staff and developing teaching materials for the Central Kitsap School District in Silverdale, Washington. Jan has served as editor of the Washington English Journal and is a member of the team who drafted Washington¹s Essential Academic Learning Requirements for Writing. A trainer for the State of Washington¹s Excellence in Assessment Network and an associate with the Assessment Training Institute in Portland, Oregon, she currently offers workshops and conference sessions throughout the country.
