Emilie Hard, M.Ed., is an elementary principal in the Tahoma School District, a former curriculum specialist, and a primary author of the districtıs core integrated curriculum units. She has more than 20 years of elementary experience incorporating thinking skills instruction and integrated curriculum into her classroom. She has taught workshops in alternative assessments, thinking skills, Readerıs and Writerıs Workshops, and mathematics instruction. She has co-authored seven published Readerıs Workshop units. Emilie was a member of the state Mathematics Advisory committee and a member of the Classroom-Based Evidence Advisory committee for Washington State.
