Jim Sabol, MA, with 12 years of high school teaching experience and 18 years in curriculum management, brings practical knowledge to his position as director of Writing Northwest. He served as president of the Washington State Council of Teachers of English, and on the executive committee of the National Council of Teachers of English, where he helped influence Congress to amend Chapter 1 legislation to include writing skills. Jim has also authored an interactive IBM writing software program which is used in schools throughout the country.
