How to Apply (2015-2016)

You must do three things to be assigned to campus housing:

1. Submit an Application
Visit spu.edu/housingapp. You will be directed to a Banner Information System login screen and will be prompted to enter your SPU username and password. If this is your first time entering the system or if you have forgotten your username or password, go to spu.edu/findmyid.

2. Submit a $300 Housing Deposit
During the application process, you will be prompted to pay your housing deposit. You can pay by e-check (a no-fee service) or by credit card (with a 2.75% transaction fee). MasterCard, American Express, Visa, and Discover Card are accepted. SPU cannot accept credit or debit card payments over the phone or in person. If you would prefer to pay by paper check, please contact housing@spu.edu.

Note: Your housing deposit will not appear as a payment on your account; it is held separately and released when you leave SPU housing, provided you have met your contract obligations and have not damaged your room.

3. Submit a $200 Advance Payment

If you haven't already done so, accept your admission to SPU by submitting the $200 advance payment. The National Reply date is May 1. To make the payment, visit spu.edu/advancepayment. The $200 will be credited toward your first tuition payment.

Deadlines

AUTUMN 2015: If your housing application, deposit, and advance payment are received:

 

By June 1, you will receive your assignment by the end of July.

Between June 2 and August 15, you will receive your assignment mid-September.

After August 15, your application will be processed as space permits.

 

WINTER 2016: If your housing application, deposit, and advance payment are received:

 

By December 9, you will receive your assignment before Christmas.

Between December 10 and December 18, you will receive your assignment when you check in (January 4).

After December 18, your application will be processed as space permits.

   

SPRING 2016: If your housing application, deposit, and advance payment are received:

 

By March 17, you will receive your assignment by the end of Spring Break.
Between March 18 and March 23, you will receive your assignment when you check in (March 28).
After March 23, your application will be processed as space permits.

 

Canceling an Application

To cancel an application, send a written notice via email to housing@spu.edu. To receive a refund of your deposit, you must cancel your application by the following dates:

Autumn Quarter 2015: June 30
Winter Quarter 2016: December 9
Spring Quarter 2016: March 17
