How to Apply (2014-2015)

Both first-time freshmen and transfer students are eligible for the residence halls; transfer students are also eligible for the campus apartments.


You must do two things to be assigned to campus housing:

Submit an Application
Complete the Campus Housing Application. You will be directed to a Banner Information System login screen and prompted to enter your SPU username and password. If this is your first time entering the system or if you have forgotten your username or password, go to FindMyID.

Submit a $300 Housing Deposit
After submitting your application, you will see a link to pay your housing deposit. You can pay by e-check (a no-fee service) or by credit card (with a 2.75% transaction fee). MasterCard, American Express, Visa, and Discover Card are accepted.

If you would prefer to pay by paper check, please contact housing@spu.edu.

Note: Your housing deposit will not appear as a payment on your account; it is held separately and released when you leave SPU housing, provided you have met your contract obligations and have not damaged your room.

DEADLINES

Autumn 2014: If your housing application and deposit are received:

By May 30, you will receive your assignment in August.

Between May 31 and August 15, you will receive your assignment mid-September.

After August 15, your application will be processed as space permits.*

 

Winter 2015: If your housing application and deposit are received:

By December 10, you will receive your assignment shortly after Christmas.

Between December 11 and December 19, you will receive your assignment when you check in (January 4).

After December 19, your application will be processed as space permits.*

   
Spring 2015: If your housing application and deposit are received:
By March 19, you will receive your assignment by the end of Spring Break.
Between March 20 and March 25, you will receive your assignment when you check in (March 29).
After March 25, your application will be processed as space permits.*

 

*If you apply for housing during a break or at the start of a quarter, a minimum of two business days is required to make your assignment.

Canceling an Application

Your housing deposit is refundable through the following dates. If you cancel your application after these dates, your deposit will be forfeited:

Autumn Quarter 2014: June 27
Winter Quarter 2015: December 10
Spring Quarter 2015: March 18

To cancel an application, send a written notice to housing@spu.edu.
