The SPU Senior Art Show helps to position young artists for success. Response spotlights the

A nonprofit service agency, Washington Literacy gets a big boost from SPU students. "We simply could
not do our mission without them," says the executive director.
The 1998 Commencement in June saluted the achievements of more than 900 men and women. Speaking to
the new graduates was human rights activist Harry Wu.
As the school year ended, the SPU community honored its own: Professor of the Year, Staff Members
