In February 1996, Philip W. Eaton became president of Seattle Pacific University. He retires on July 1, 2012. The voice of SPU’s vision for
engaging the culture and changing the world, he asked students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends: “How can we be responsive to the needs of the world — and ensure that all God’s children flourish?” It’s a question, he says, “I will be trying to answer the rest of my life.”
