DAVID STEIGER and JANET SETTLE STEIGER '48 recently wrote a book that describes 35 years of adventures from Dave's career as a pilot. His experiences include 43 missions over Germany in the B-26 Marauder and 24 years with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Papua New Guinea and Zimbabwe, Africa. The book is titled Uncle Dave, Tell Us a Story.
1956
RONALD BARNICK and Grace Barnick of Salem, Oregon, are charter members of The Covered Bridge Society of Oregon. The couple was recognized in the fall 1999 issue of The Bridge Tender, the society's official publication, for their participation in efforts to stop the building of a 198-foot cell phone tower near Thomas Creek Bridge. A former student at Seattle Pacific and graduate of Cascade College, Ronald is a current member of SPU's Society of Fellows.
