For 29 years, Lewis served as fellow and tutor of English language and literature at Magdalen College, Oxford University. Founded in 1448, Magdalen is situated in the heart of the city of Oxford on 100 acres of woodlands, riverside walks, and lawns. The College’s famous alumni include Oscar Wilde, Seamus Heaney, Dudley Moore, and U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justices Stephen Breyer and David Souter.
