With just two original photos of the Lewis kitchen as guides, SPU Professor of Theatre Don Yanik planned for its restoration. His design called for the return of a cookstove, which required rebuilding the original chimney, and the hiring of local craftsmen to match the intricate legs of the table that once served as a countertop.
