Mikki Running

Visit and Events Coordinator

Admissions job: I help to manage your individual visit as well as some of our large visit events!

Email: visitus@spu.edu

Mikki Running Hometown: Lake Stevens, Washington
Education: Eastern University (International Development, M.A.), Colorado Christian University (Business/Marketing, B.S.)
Favorite Seattle restaurant: Pike Place Market... I know it's not an official restaurant but with tons of fresh fruits, seafood, cheeses, coffee, and my favorite walking around snack "humbow", there is plenty to eat and see!
Favorite sports team: The SPU Falcons of course!
Books reading now: Bryant Myer's "Walking with the Poor." With a passion for transformational development and helping people overcome poverty around the world, Myer's book is an inspiring "must read" for anyone interested in missions or global issues.
Favorite Movie: Leap Year and The Proposal
Favorite Thing About SPU: With a student body that represents a broad range of faith denominations, I truly respect and admire SPU's commitment to uniting this campus with its bold mission statement of "Engaging the culture, changing the world."
Advice for high school/transfer students: Visit campus! Wherever you are thinking about going, take the time to visit. Walk around, take a tour, sit in on a class, talk to a professor, etc. When it comes down to decision time it will be so much easier if you've been there and can picture yourself on campus. Another huge piece of advice that was helpful for me was to talk to your admissions counselor. They are truly there to help you in this application process. They are not only your academic and scholarship advocates, but an amazing resource when transitioning into college!
