    Online Tutorial

    Once you set up your appointment for New Student Advising, you will receive an email confirmation that includes the date and time of your appointment and a checklist for next steps. Once you receive this message, you've been enrolled in the Earning your Undergraduate Degree Blackboard Tutorial! The tutorial is accessible through Blackboard, SPU's online learning environment. Blackboard is accessible from the MySPU button at the top right of any SPU webpage.

    Why is the Online Tutorial important?

    The tutorial is necessary and required preparation for your New Student Advising. The tutorial will teach you about SPU's curriculum, how to access important online resources, and provide you with an opportunity to complete placement tests. Completing the tutorial prior to New Student Advising will allow you to have a happy and productive Advising experience. Students unable to complete the tutorial may not be able to register for the specific classes they need. Completing the tutorial is important!

    How long should I set aside to take the Online Tutorial?

    Allow 60 minutes to complete the academic, financial, and health modules, as well as an additional 60 minutes for any placement test.

    When is it due?

    You should complete the full Earning Your Undergraduate Degree Blackboard Tutorial at least two full business days prior to your scheduled New Student Advising Appoiontment.
