The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. State Department and aims to increase mutual understanding between the United States and other countries through the exchange of people, knowledge, and skills.
Each year, approximately 2,000 grants are awarded to US citizens to conduct research, study, or teach abroad for one year in more than 140 countries. Research awards allow students to conduct independent research in a foreign country. Study awards permit students to obtain a master’s degree from a foreign university. The English Teaching Assistant program provides the opportunity for students to assist in teaching English in a high school or university language class.
