MDFT Interns will provide, medical family therapy (i.e., individual, couple, family and group therapy) to patients and their families/caregivers. These services will be provided under the supervision of an MDFT program faculty member who is a licensed and qualified clinical supervisor for the specialization of Medical Family Therapy. Training will take place in a supervision group. Mental health and integrated behavioral health internship sites with contracts with the SPU Medical Family Therapy Certificate Program and the SPU Marriage and Family Therapy Program are used as practicum sites for MDFT program students.
