Provides the advanced practice nurse with the knowledge and tools to perform a problem focused health assessment on adolescents, adults, and older adults. Uses experiential and didactic learning activities to outline a framework for systematic collection, organization, interpretation, integration, and communication of data regarding the assessment of symptoms and physical exam findings. Emphasizes further development of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgement in the collection of an in-depth symptom analysis, selection of appropriate examination techniques, and interpretation/synthesis of data to formulate a differential diagnosis.
